  The Rendezvous is in the perfect location to experience Melbourne. It has a tram stop just outside and it's conveniently in the free zone. We stayed here while attending a conference at the convention centre and it's a walkable distance (15 minutes). The room has all the basic amenities and is clean. Not the largest but enough. The hotel is a heritage building with an elegant lobby. My one issue was that the air conditioning was a tad loud. All in all it was a good and enjoyable.

  The room was tiny. The bathroom was especially small. The toilet faces the entry to the shower and you have to step in the shower sideways because it's there - 5cm from the opening of the shower, directly opposite it
  There is also a lot of noice from people walking in the hallways past your room.
  The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced, but not great. Food lacked flavor and texture you'd expect from pastries and bacon etc
  Check in process was smooth and staff were polite

  Fantastic location, cosy accommodation, affordable prices. All the major tourist attractions and cafes are just a walk/free tram ride away.
  The rooms were very clean, and if you don't have the time to spend in your hotel room (but still want a good night's sleep) this is the place).
